JAMES W. HOLMAN,
age 67, of 1975 Dryden Road, Freeville, NY passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Cayuga Medical Center after becoming ill at home.
“Jim” was born in Staten Island, NY, a son of the late Adrian and Margery Kleine Holman. Jim was graduated from Tottenville High School ‘62, SUNY Farmingdale ‘68 and Cornell University ‘70. Jim and his wife, the former Caroline Braun, were married in 1970 in Williston Park, NY and have resided in Freeville since 1970. He was the owner of Ringwood Raceway, was employed at Advance Moving Co. and was involved in agriculture.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Caroline at home, his children, Michael (Erica) of Oswego, Gregg, Margery and James all of Freeville; his siblings, Karen Holman of Binghamton; a sister-in-law, Mary Holman and her daughter, Debra Romano; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Adrian Holman, Jr. and his sister, Frances Zarrillo.
Memorial services will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Hillside Alliance Church, 1422 Slaterville Road, Ithaca, NY. There are no calling hours. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the Salvation Army, Albany Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 or to the Rescue Mission, 155 Gifford Street, Syracuse, NY 13202.
