JANE SPONAUGLE, age 63, of Lake Road, Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Jane was born February 20, 1952 in Cortland, NY a daughter of the late Vera Sovocool Burlingame and Alanson DeWitt Burlingame, III. Jane was graduated from Dryden High School in 1970 and on January 30, 1971 was married to Larry Sponaugle in McLean. Jane enjoyed horses, rodeos and attending car shows with her Mustang. She looked forward to family vacations to the St Lawrence and the Adirondacks. Jane will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Larry Sponaugle at home, her son Randy (Dawna Benford) Sponaugle of Dryden and her daughter, Teresa (Michael Flacco) Loveless of Dryden; three grandchildren, Blake Sponaugle of Oscoda, MI, Shyanne Loveless and Lexie Loveless both of Dryden; two sisters, Patricia (Frank) Springstead of Muskegon, MI and Dixie (Richard) Schmoll of Winter Haven, FL; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Alanson D. Burlingame, IV.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 6 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to The Dream Factory of Central New York, Inc., P.
