JANET F. GEE, age 70, of 568 Main St., Etna, NY passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. Janet was born Feb. 7, 1942 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England a daughter of the late Dr. Warren Simpson Harvey, O.B.E. and Sheila Phelps Harvey.
She immigrated to the US after attending finishing school in Switzerland and obtained the degree of Registered Nurse at Guy’s Hospital, London. After coming to the US she lived in many places while her spouse was in the military and later has resided in Etna with her companion Bruce Horncastle.
After 34 years of her nursing career she retired and enjoyed reading and traveling.Survivors include her longtime companion, Bruce R. Horncastle of Etna, her daughter, Deborah Gee of Houston, TX and her son, Roger (Rose) Gee of Cedar Park, TX and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Francis Harvey, Marianne Rummel.Services will be held at a later date.
