Janice L. Lewis

JANICE L. LEWIS, age 86, a long time resident of North Road, Freeville, NY passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at the Cayuga Medical Center. Mrs. Lewis was born Feb. 8, 1931 in Sayre, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Foster Herrick. She was the widow of Clinton E. Lewis who died in 1989. Janice was employed for 30 plus years at Smith Corona as a punch press operator. She also worked on the family farm along side of her husband and children. She enjoyed country and western music.
Survivors include her children, Shirley Herrick, Richard Morris, Frank (Deborah) Lewis, Carol Hefner, Robert (Lisa) Lewis, Clara Hefner, Thelma Hefner, Diane (James) Toolan and Janice Singleton; grandchildren, Barbara Alexander, Zachary Lewis, Phillip Lewis, Jeff Singleton, Andrew Singleton, Nicholas Singleton, Nikole Coley, Parker Hefner, Harmony Hefner, Malaki Hefner, Kzyrus Hefner, Andarius Hefner, Michelle (Tom) Cortright, Zana Cortright, Makenzie Cortright, Heidi Chamberlain and Veronica Chamberlain, Shane (Nicole Skipper) Lewis, Kelly (Reggie) Wilson, Jason Lewis, Jessica (Roger) Bellinger, Taber Lewis,Brian Lewis, Marti Beamis, Concetta Sandquist, Francis Ezzel and Christopher Cross; great-grandchildren, R. J. and Roger Bellinger, DeRias Cortright and Madison Lewis as well as many extended family members. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Kight ; two sons-in-law, James Hefner and Steve Losey.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
