Dunn Wickenden passed away peacefully on November 24 at Kendal of Ithaca. She grew up in Paterson New Jersey and graduated from College High School, where her curiosity about life was inspired. At 16, she went off to Skidmore College. Her summers were spent on Greenwood Lake, New Jersey where she met Tom Wickenden. They sailed together, played tennis , fell in love, and were married January 2, 1942. Jean was a wonderful life partner and mother, creating a happy and exciting home for her family.

She encouraged a love of nature and the simple pleasures of life. She was a maker of things, sewing dresses and knitting wonderful sweaters for her grandchildren. Jean will be remembered for her warmth and creative pursuit of life. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Tom Wickenden , her children, Elizabeth McMahon (Kevin), Michael Wickenden (Linda), Tom Wickenden (Beth), six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and her brother James Dunn ( Irma Rose).
