Joan T. Robinson

Joan T. Robinson, age 81, of Sheldon Rd., Freeville, NY passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Cayuga Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born October 2, 1934 in Ithaca, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Vivian Nelson Taylor and wife of the late Ralph O. Robinson who died in 1972. Prior to her retirement, Joan was employed in Building Care at Cornell University.
Joan is survived by her sons, Ralph (Cheryl) Robinson and John Robinson all of Freeville; daughter in law, Nancy Birir Robinson of NY, NY; grandchildren, twins, Ralph (Chris) and Rick (Brandy) Robinson and Ronnie (Jessica) Robinson; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Norma (Frank) Lamphier of Locke, NY; brothers, Carl (Mary Lou) Taylor of Dryden, NY and Donald Taylor of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by her son, Robert Robinson, and brothers, Frank, Robert and Louis Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Perkins Funeral Home, with Rev. David Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call from 10 - 11 am prior to the service at the funeral home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
