Joann O. Goodband, age 78, of Clark Street Ext., Groton, NY passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born June 10, 1936 in Ithaca, NY she was one of four daughters born to the late Martin J. and Madge King O’Brien and was the widow of Timothy E. Goodband who died in 2012. Joann had been a Home Health Aide for Cortland County and had worked in and out of retail for many years.
Joann is survived by her children, Timothy E. Goodband, Jr. of McConnell, SC, Xan Chace of Rock Hill, SC, Arthur (Tammy) Goodband of Groton, NY and Pamela Goodband of Cortland, NY; grandchildren, Justin, Sean and Connor Goodband, Veronica and Philip Goodband, Alison, Karen and Julie Chace; great granddaughter, Makayla Chace; sisters, Mary O. Blogrim, Janet M. May and Marthajane McDuffy; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Grace Christian Fellowship, 1250 Fisher Ave., Cortland, NY with Rev. Michael G. Dunn officiating. Private burial for Joann and her husband, Tim will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden and will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to W.B.
