Joanne M. Mcmillen

Joanne M. McMillen, daughter of William and Mary Horvath, died on November 23, 2018 at The Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY of an extended illness. A resident of Upstate New York since 1941, Joanne left behind her beloved sister, Mary Jane a resident of Lansing as well as, her four loving children; Carole (Michael) Bell, Terry (Vasil) Lesiuk, Cyrus McMillin, and Jenny (Michael) Dawson. She outlived her other siblings and her husband, Richard McMillen. With her passing she lives on through twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. She spent her working years employed at NYSEG and Tompkins Trust Bank. Her hard work was greatly appreciated as she was known to be very responsible.

Joanne was an incredible woman who could fill a room with her jovial laughter. As a model in her youthful years she represented a vision of beauty, a belle for her time. Her popularity was nonetheless never underrepresented by the amount of friends she could attain in a short period of time. This woman acknowledged others pain and knew exactly how to make them smile. Her gratitude will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Friends are invited to call from 11 AM to 1 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service, 55 West Main Street, Dryden. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
