John Ayers, Jr.

John Ayers Jr., 43 of Freeville,NY passed away August 1st, 2023. His death follows an extended illness. He was taken too soon and will be missed. John was born on November 30th, 1979 in Cortland, NY. He is survived by his mother Penny Russell, step-father Richard Russell Jr., sister Kayla Ayers, brothers John Evan, Brandon, Tyler, & Justin Russell, daughters Jasminne Ayers & Violette Davenport, grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

John attended Dryden High School and studied small engine repair at TST boces. He worked in the landscaping industry for several years.

John enjoyed his family, friends and dogs, the outdoors, working with his hands, and being on the move. He liked to figure out how things worked and could fix most anything.

John is preceded in Death by grandfather James Burlingame Sr., uncles Bruce Burlingame Sr., Robert Knapp & Rodney Russell.

A celebration of life for John will be held at Perkins funeral home on Friday, August 18th from 2-4.
