JOHN J. "JAKE" FABICH, 83, of 47 Goodrich Hill Rd., Berkshire, NY died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the Hospicare Residence.

Born October 23, 1920 in Buffalo, NY he was the son of the late John J. and Agnes Paugh Fabich. A US Army veteran of WW II, he was employed at Borg Warner in Ithaca for 43 years retiring in 1981. Following retirement he was called back as a consultant. He was a member of the Ithaca Eagles Aerie #1253, William Hyde Bailey Garden Club and had been an avid bowler with the Senior Citizen’s League.

Mr. Fabich is survived by his wife, Kathleen D. "Kate" Fabich of Berkshire; son, Robert E. (Teresa) Fabich of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Nancy Fabich of Colchester, VT; daughter, Judy (Marc) Bouffard of Essex Junction, VT; grandchildren, Derek (Elizabeth Hoeffer) Fabich of Munich, Germany; Chelsea Fabich of Baltimore, MD; step-son, Scott (Becky) Randall of Berkshire, NY and their children, Laurie and Marc Randall; sister, Dorothy (Henry) Wachowski of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 AM Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Fr. Felix Dalimpuo and Rev. Janet Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Ithaca, NY with members of Dryden Veteran’s Memorial Home Ritual Team conducting military honors. Friends may call from 7-9 PM Friday at the funeral home.
