John H. Stillman

JOHN H. STILLMAN, age 77, of 11 Denti Way Drive, Cortland, NY died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Stillman was born April 2, 1927 at Virgil, NY a son of the late Paul and Laura Heden Stillman. He was served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947 and was retired from Cortland High School. Previously he was employed at Cortland Overhead Door Co. On March 27, 1975 he was married to the former Dorla Thornton Burch at Preble, NY.

Survivors include his wife, Dorla, E. Stillman of Cortland, his sons, Christopher (Becky Hughes) Stillman of Virgil, John H. Stillman, Jr., of Cortland, Paul H. (Becky Armstrong) Stillman of Cortland; two step-sons, James (Doreen) Burch of Newfield, NY and Robert ( spouse name ) Lindley of Cortland; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, William and Harold.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, August 18 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David Olcott officiating. Burial will follow in Virgil Rural Cemetery. Members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team will conduct military honors at the grave. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
