Joseph David Rinchack

Joseph D. Rinchack, age 88, of Ithaca, NY passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Born July 10, 1932 Ithaca, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Letts Rinchack and husband of the late Gertrude Cornelius Rinchack who died in 2009. Joe was retired from Cornell University and was a NY Yankees and Syracuse University Sports fan.  He enjoyed camping, bowling and in his younger years, golfing. He was a member of Brooktondale Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Nash (Stephen Jr.) of Freeville, NY; sons, Jay Rinchack (Cassandra) of Vero Beach, FL and Michael Rinchack (Jennie) of Groton; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  In addition, he was predeceased by his brother, Louis Rinchack and his sister, Mildred Canfield.

Graveside services and interment in Snyder Hill Cemetery will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
