Joseph J. Schettino

Joseph J. Schettino, age 79 of Cortland, New York passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, New York.

Born October 27, 1941 in Hoboken, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Emile and Isabella Serafino Schettino. Joe served with the US Army during the Vietnam Era and taught Physics at TC3 prior to retirement. He liked to build and fix things, play drums, loved his vintage Mustang and was a very good Italian cook and winemaker.

Joe is survived by his daughter and son in law, Maria (Eric Kramer) Schettino of Cortland, NY; son, Christopher Schettino of Miami, FL; niece, Joni Schettino and nephew, Emile Schettino.  In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife, Leslie A. Schettino in 2012 and by his brother, Emile Schettino.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Friday, May 7, 2021 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.
