JOYCE W. JUHL
, age 83, of German Cross Road, Ithaca, NY passed away, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Cayuga Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Facility.
Born May 30, 1927 in Venice Center, NY, she is the daughter of the late James Arthur and Lena Mosher Wood and wife of the late Guy C. Juhl who passed away March 10, 2011. They were married March 13, 1948. She was employed with the Telephone Company and then Cornell University, retiring in 1988. She was a 56 year member of Magnetic Springs Chapter #557 O.E.S.
Joyce is survived by her three children, Linda Brown of Endicott, Jane Posner of Newark Valley and Albert Juhl of Ithaca; grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda; great grandson, Hadley; her sister, Elinor Wood of Fayetteville as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vernon, Vance and Lyle Wood.
Eastern Star services will be conducted by members of Magnetic Springs Chapter #557 at 6 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, followed by a memorial service with Rev. David C. Nicholls officiating. Burial will be later in Snyder Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 – 6 PM prior to the service.
