June Hill

JUNE M. HILL , age 91, formerly of Clark’s Corners Road, Lapeer, NY died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Northwoods of Cortland after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hill was born September 16, 1916 at Marathon, NY a daughter of the late A. Ward Johnson, Sr. and Rose Stanton Johnson. She was the widow of Rogers W. Hill who died July 2, 1983. She was retired from Smith Corona and was a life resident of the Lapeer area. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her brother, A. Ward (Vera) Johnson, Jr. of Marathon; two nephews, Jerald (Ruth) Johnson and Laurence (Beverly) Johnson of Lapeer; great nephews and nieces including, Jody (Kelley) Johnson, Connor and Kaitlin Johnson, Charenda (Marshall) Morehouse. She was predeceased by her brother, Earl M. Johnson in 1986 and her sister, Lydia R. Ingrahm in 2007.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Sunday. October 28, 2007 at the Hunts Corners Baptist Church with Pastor Christopher Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Parker Street Cemetery, Lapeer. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
