KAITLYN TWYLA PARKER, age 11, of 6269 Country Lane, Homer, NY died unexpectedly Thursday, May 4, 2006 at her residence. "Katie" was born October 2, 1994 at Cortland a daughter of Chad and Elizabeth Fuller Parker. Her twin sister, Amanda Lynn Parker, died Oct. 2, 1994. Katie loved to be read to and although she was born with cerebral palsy, she enjoyed horseback riding, camping, four-wheeling, swimming, music and the Disney Channel. Katie was included in every family activity and had attended the Racker Center Programs, Homer Elementary and OCM BOCES. Recently she was photographed to be a poster child for the Children’s Miracle Network. Katie was a very special child that touched so many people and all in her very special way. She will be loved and missed by all.

Katie is survived by her brothers, Nathan James Parker and Anthony Edgar Parker; her grandparents, Edgar and Deborah Parker of Freeville, Edgar and Juanita Fuller of Scott, Mary Hyde of Cortland and Doris Perkins of Freeville; aunts; uncles and cousins and a special friend, Janie Hughes of Homer. She was predeceased by grandparents, Dewitt "Toad" Perkins, Harold Hyde, Lawrence and Doris Parker, Charles and Stella Hyde.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, May 8th, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Smith of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Union Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
