Katherine Louise Simmons

KATHERINE LOUISE SIMMONS, age 89, NYS Rt. 221, Marathon, NY passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Cortland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. Katherine was born May 11, 1927 in Homer, NY a daughter of Harry and Myrtle King. Her husband, Roger Simmons, predeceased her. Katherine was an avid Bingo player and had been a helpful volunteer at the Creamery Road Senior Center. She and her husband, enjoyed summers at Black Lake and winters in Arcadia, FL. Katherine will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Ray Simmons of Brooktondale, Karen (Gary Reese) Simmons of Arcadia, FL, Roy Simmons of McGraw; a son in-law, Ernest Hamilton of Brooktondale; siblings, Frank and Gene King and Grace Oliver; several grand and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and a daughter, Dawn Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 Am, Tuesday, April 18, at the Perkins Funeral Home with the Rev. David H. Nicholls officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden after 10 AM on Tuesday.
