M. Cotterill, 54, passed away peacefully Monday, April 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She devoted many hours to many community organizations including Zonta, United Way, Chamber of Commerce, and Hospice of Cortland. She loved working in the banking industry, interacting with people, and most of all she loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be greatly missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Bradley Cotterill; her son, David Cotterill; granddaughter, Emily Cotterill; her mother, Beverly “Bonnie” Porter Foote; brothers, Steven (Linda) Foote, Daniel Foote, Joseph (Joan) Foote; her sisters, Pamela Stack, Roxanne (Bo) Nelson, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Jack Foote, and an infant son.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, April 5th, at Saint Mary’s Church, Cortland. Interment will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery in Dryden. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Dryden Fire Station after the burial.
