Kathleen Mae Moore

KATHLEEN MARQUIS MOORE, age 89, of 401 Warren Place, Ithaca, NY and formerly of Sherburne, NY passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16th at home after a period of declining health. "Katie" was born September 25, 1927 in Cortland, NY a daughter of the late James and Ethel Breeds Marquis. She was retired from Verizon where she was an Order Clerk and previously had been employed at GLF, General Electric and Contel. Katie wintered in Palm Bay, FL for many years. She was a former member of the Syracuse Moose Club and the Rebekahs. Katie was affiliated with the Freeville United Methodist Church for her entire life and attended the Methodist Church in Sherburne when she resided there. Katie enjoyed many world travels with friends and family members.
Survivors include three brothers, Kenneth Marquis, Clifford (Darlene) Marquis and Clarence (Dottie) Marquis; her son, David (Sally) Marquis; grandchildren, Chantel Marquis, Corey (Gabby) Marquis, Casey Marquis, Cyler Marquis, great-grandson. Coen Gillette; two nieces, Diane (Todd) Tenkate & Karen Lee Marquis of Tennessee ; a nephew, Keith Marquis of Spencer and a grand nephew, Colin Marquis of Tennessee. As well as many more nieces, nephews and extended family members. Katie was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Kermit and Geraldine Marquis
Memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM, Monday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the Freeville United Methodist Church.
