Keith T. Hollister.
80, of Sayre, PA and North Port, FL, slipped away after
a short but intense illness on February 19, 2008. Keith was born at sunrise
on Easter Sunday April 17, 1927. He was the son of the late Theron J. and
Cassie (Huntly) Hollister of Cincinnatus, NY. He graduated from Cincinnatus
Central School in 1945. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his brother, Lester Hollister of Cincinnatus, NY, and his three sisters
Dorla Hepler of Wampsville, NY, Doris Duff of Dryden, NY, and Cecelia Cronk
of Oxford, NY. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lenora
Burlingame Hollister of Waverly, NY.
Keith is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patricia A, of Sayre, PA and
North Port, FL. He is also survived by his son Brent K Hollister of
Freeville, NY; his daughters, Brenda (George) Seiferman of West Palm Beach,
FL, Jill (John) Phelps of Cortland, NY, Janet Hurley of San Francisco, CA
and Janine Davis of Sayre, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren:
Heather Hollister, Jolene Hollister, Cassandra Hollister, John Phelps, Jesse
Phelps, Vincent Cuda, McKenna Hurley and Katie Hurley. Keith is also
survived by five great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and
loving friends.
Keith had a life long, deep and abiding love of God, his family, and
friends. He took great joy in music, movies, and square dancing. He was a
former member of the Dryden Kiwanis, Dryden Foolighters, Cincinnatus Alumni
Assoc., Harbor Isles Men's Club, card club, Cash and Treasure, Suffleboard
Choral Group and Actors Group. He once said that he didn't know how he had
the time to work because his retirement was so busy.
A memorial service will be held at the Harbor Isles Clubhouse on March 19,
2008 in North Port, Fl, at 12:30 PM. There will be additional memorial
services in Sayre, PA, and Dryden, NY, after Patricia returns north in May
2008.
