Kenneth L. Padbury

Kenneth L. Padbury, 79, of Marathon, New York passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Born January 14, 1942 in Cortland, New York he was the son of the late Doris Padbury Thornton. Ken married Mary Jo Smith on October 24, 1959. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for various construction companies including Economy Paving, Gutchess Lumber and most recently Suit Kote. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Willet Gun Club.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time at his camp in Harford.

Ken is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jo Padbury at home; three sons, Mitchell, Kenneth (Cindy) and Ricky (Laura) all of Marathon; grandchildren, Crystal, Nicole, Brandon, Brett, Renee, Jennifer, Jessica and David; brother Lanny (Tudene) Padbury of Marathon; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private graveside services and burial will be in Harford Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospicare and Palliative Care Services, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY  14850.
