Kenneth A. Reynolds passed away of natural causes on November 6, 2023 at the age of 59.
Ken is survived by his father John F. Reynolds and his sisters Candice L. Hobin, and Karen M. Bivona.
Ken graduated from Dryden High School and received scholarships from NYSE&G and Etna Fire Department. Ken pursued his interest in Fire service and was an active firefighter and EMT-2 in the Varna Fire Department. He obtained an AS degree with honors in Fire Protection Technology, then went on to get his BS degree with honors.
He went to North Carolina State University to work in Life safety. While there he obtained his hazardous material certification and was a certified EMT in New York and North Carolina. In 2000 Ken changed his profession towards information systems and related work study. He earned 7 associate degrees in computer science and in 2013 earned the title of Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Ken had an interest in Aeronautical Modeling and was a member of the AMA.
He was also a long-time member of the NRA and taught hunting and marksmanship to the Boy Scouts of America.
Ken was a member of PHI THETA KAPPA, International Honor Society while retaining his 4.0 grade point average. He was a lifelong learner, passionate about details as he taught computer classes at TC3 as an Adjunct Professor. Ken was respected by his colleagues and will be remembered for his friendly giving nature. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
