Kim Harkness O'Connor

Kim Harkness O'Connor, age 65, died peacefully at his home in Etna, NY on October 3, 2017. Born August 13, 1952, in Ithaca, Kim was the son of Donald J. O'Connor and Audrey Harkness O'Connor.
He is survived by his son, Kevin H. O'Connor of Etna, daughter Krista O'Connor VanAlstine of Montour Falls, son Weston Harkness McGuire of Newfield; brother Christopher O'Connor of Dryden; several grandchildren including Brooke, Sydney, and Ella; great-grandchild Camden; nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends from the Dryden area. Kim was predeceased by his parents, his older brother Joel O'Connor and his older sister Denny O'Connor Teeter.
He attended schools in the Dryden school district, and graduated from the Austin-Cate Academy in New Hampshire before attending TC3 in Groton. Kim worked at various places and at several occupations in Ithaca and Dryden; for the last fifteen years he worked for his good friend, Brud Nash, on construction projects.
Family and friends are invited to gather this Sunday, October 15 at the Dryden VFW, 2272 Dryden Road, Dryden from Noon until 2 pm so that we can all share some stories about Kim in a way that he would have enjoyed.
