Lawrence B. (Larry) Converse

Lawrence B. “Larry” Converse, age 93 of McLean, NY passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

Born March 24, 1930  in DeRuyter, NY he was the son of the late Ray and Mildred Abbott Converse. Larry worked for the Town of Groton and was the former owner of Randolph Well & Pump. He was a past member of the Dryden Kiwanis and was on the Board of Fire Commissioners for the McLean Fire Department.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Sherman Converse; his children, Larry (Mary Ellen); Ray (Mary) and Brenda (Kyrle) Teeter; grandchildren, Carrie Converse, Mike Converse, Alex Converse, Marcus Converse and Bryan(Megan) Teeter, Mitch Macomber, Tim Macomber, Corrie Macomber-Oustad and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition, to his parents Ray and Mildred (Abbott) Converse, Larry was preceded in death by his sisters, Winifred (Kenneth) Baldwin, Wilma (Lewis) Barber, brother, Herbert (Elaine) Converse, and sisters, Clara (Robert) Dellow, and Marilyn Converse.

Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 2-3 pm followed by a service at 3 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Kelly Tobin officiating. Burial will be later in McLean Cemetery.
