Leo Robert O'Donnell

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leo Robert O'Donnell, who departed this world on March 4, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 12th, 1937, Leo lived a life filled with adventure, love, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Leo was the beloved son of John and Margaret (O'Brian) O'Donnell, who predeceased him along with his siblings. He was also predeceased by his dear son, Michael O'Donnell. Leo is survived by his cherished children: Cynthia Wells, Cherri Finch, Laura Green, and John Woodard. Leo was a proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Leo served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he learned the values of discipline, respect, and service. After his military service, he worked at General Electric for several years before dedicating the majority of his professional life to Chrysler until his well-deserved retirement.

Leo was an adventurous spirit. He embraced life wholeheartedly, whether it was skiing down snowy slopes, skydiving through the clouds, or traveling the world to experience new cultures and adventures.

A memorial service will be held at Flo’s Diner in Canastota on April 5th, 2025 at 2 P.M. Leo Robert O'Donnell may have left this earthly plane, but his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
