LEONARD L. PHILLIPS
, Jr., age 56, of Cutler School House Road, Cortland, NY died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital. Leonard was born in Cortland on Aug. 20, 1949 a son of the late Leonard L. Phillips, Sr. and Virginia Long Phillips. He served in the US Army in Vietnam for 3 tours of duty. Later he was married to the former Margie Ann Thompson at Scott, NY. He was employed in the construction industry and later worked at Tuscarora Plastics in Cortland. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margie of Cortland, two sons; two step-sons, Kevin and James Cornelius; his five sisters, Marian (Carm) DiGiacomo of Wilmington, NC, Janet (Ray) Chamberlin of Decatur, TN, Betty (Don) Beattie of Cuyler, Carol Phillips of Warren, MI, Lois "Tammy" Thomas of Cortland; nieces; nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial with military honors will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. There are no prior calling hours. Those wishing may make a memorial, in lieu of flowers, to the SPCA of Cortland Co., 879 McLean Rd., Cortland, NY or the Carrington-Fuller American Legion Post 800, Groton, NY 13073.
