Leslie R. Warren, Cortland, passed away July 23rd after a courageous battle against cancer. Les was born in Cortland on November 26, 1934, son of Judson and Martha (Young) Warren. He is survived by his beloved wife and family, Jean (Bush) married 59 years, son, Leonard (Cathy) Warren of Cortland, daughter, Brenda (Dale) Stoker of Canandaigua, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, sister Clara (Jim) Jenney, brothers Ralph (Lena) Warren and Russ (Elaine) Warren and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Grace (Stan) Robbins.
Les was self employed and established many businesses in the community including Warren Plumbing & Heating and South Cortland Driving Range. An avid golfer, Les was a charter member (1966) of Elm Tree Golf Course, and carded nine hole in ones. He was past President of the Homer Lions Club and the Cortland Pilots Association. He loved flying his 1946 Stinson airplane. Les was a past Board Member of the United States Snowmobile Association and was sponsored by the Ski-Doo Company as he raced snowmobiles across the country. Les was truly a sports enthusiast who loved fishing and golf as he lived his life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the East Homer United Methodist Church, 2642 State Route 13, East Homer. Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden is assisting the family.
