Leslie A. Schettino

LESLIE ANN SCHETTINO , nee (Caraccioli), age 56, died peacefully at home on April 12, 2012. Born, October 21, 1955 at Mountainside Hospital in New Jersey, she was graduated from Clifton High School and the University of Vermont where she earned her BS in Physics. Later she received her Masters Degree in Counseling from Syracuse University. Leslie taught advanced math courses at TC3 and was the Director of Academic Support Services for Students with Disabilities at Ithaca College. Leslie was known for her laughter, her gentle but strong determination and her love for her family, students, co-workers, animals, especially her dogs. She lived her life with an open heart and mind. She will be missed greatly by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Schettino; her children, Christopher Schettino, MD, and Maria Schettino; her two sisters, Barbara Clark and Susan Christopher and their children, Michelle and Taylor Clark, Dimitri and Cara Christopher and her dog, Prodi. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Walter and Rosalind Papier Caraccioli; and her dogs, Jake, Willy and Snoopy.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home which will be preceded by visitation from 12 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, also at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY. Her family invites all to a repast at her home, 2480 Ames Road, Cortland, NY to be held immediately after the memorial service.
