LILLIAN C. MALISON, age 86, of 13 Leon Ave., Cortland, NY passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Lillian was born April 8, 1925 in Harford Mils, NY a daughter of the late George and Florence Hillsinger Boyce. She was married on June 22, 1946 to John J. Malison who died December 14, 1989. Lillian was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her family. She was fondly known by her grandchildren as “GG”. Lillian had been a member of the Piece Makers Quilting Club of the Homer Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, John C. (Nancy) Malison of Cortland, Cathy A. (Martin) Ostrander of Cortland, Regina R. (Patricia A. Woodward) Cunard of Madison, VA, Mary A. (Stephen) Polan, of Afton, TN, Lillian J. Malison of Cortland, Elaine J. (Christopher) Doe of Cortland and Joseph D. Malison of Marathon; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the last surviving member in her generation of the Boyce family.
Friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
