Lloyd E. Mix, age 81, of Yellow Barn Rd., Freeville, NY went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home.
Born February 6, 1932 in Ithaca, NY he was the son of the late Howard and Diana Crispell Mix. A self employed farmer, he was a member of Brooktondale Baptist Church and the Ithaca Antique Car Club.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Irene Wright Mix at home; children, Brian (Diane) Mix of Freeville, NY, Ann (Clayton) Maybee of Freeville, NY, Heather (Neal) Soenksen of Howell, MI, Joann Walker of Freeville, NY and Heidi (Jeff) Makela of VanEtten, NY; brother, James (Henny) Mix of Freeville, NY; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, he was predeceased by brother, Harold Mix and sisters, Belva Cornelius and Eleanor Pease and grandson, Kyle Soenksen.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Brooktondale Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Lloyd and Rev. Milo Thompson officiating. Private burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. Friends may call from 5-7 pm Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.
