Loretta D. Brookhouse

Loretta D. Brookhouse, age 92, of West South Street, Groton, NY formerly of Freeville, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, October 30, 2017.
Born January 28, 1925 in Elmira, NY she was the daughter of the late Howard A. and Marguerite Engle Clark and wife of the late Jack Brookhouse who died in 2009. She had been employed with the Dryden Central School District as an Intermediate Library Aide prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Brookhouse is survived by her four daughters, twins, Sandra L. (George) Ketola of Locke, NY and Sharon A. (George) Suess of Halcottsville, NY, Donna B. (Stephen) Carpenter of Dryden, NY and Peggy J. (Richard) Case, Jr. of Groton, NY; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tanya Ketola and brothers, Howard and Robert Clark.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Freeville United Methodist Church with Pastor John Terry officiating. There are no calling hours. The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
