Margaret Arnold

MARGARET ARNOLD, age 70, of Crompound Rd., Peekskill, NY died Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Arnold was born December 12, 1933 in New York City, a daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth Keller Marsh. On August 22, 1952 she was married to Seymour Arnold. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold owned the Arnold Book Store in New Rochelle, NY from 1962 to 1974. Later she was employed in retail stores until opening the A-1 Restaurant in Peekskill. She was also employed at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center until retiring. She made many friends at the West Ledge Nursing Home in Peekskill. Recently Mr. and Mrs. Arnold relocated to Cortland, NY to be near their son.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Seymour Arnold of Peekskill; her son, David L. (Cathy) Arnold of Dryden; her daughter, Colleen (Vincent) Ursone of Stamford, CT; a sister, Gladys Doyle of Brewster, NY; a sister-in-law, Sandra Marsh of Carmel, NY; seven granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jack and Robert Marsh.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 27, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David Valyou officiating. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
