Margaret Alice (Gunn) Gerlach

Margaret Alice (Gunn) Gerlach, 97 of Ithaca N.Y. left us on June 8th 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Buffalo NY, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Esther Gunn. Margaret would later find her soul mate Erve, with whom she would raise their 4 children. Moving to Ithaca in 1965, Margaret worked as a bookkeeper at Cornell for 25+ years, making many friends and pursuing many passions, such as gardening, bowling and quilting. Margaret worked on the first Ellis Hollow Quilt and enjoyed doing that for many years.

She is survived by her 4 children: Lee R., Gary R. (Connie), Stephen G. and Janet M. Bacorn (Edward), and 5 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on October 19th at Anabel Taylor Hall Chapel on the Cornell Campus.
