MARIAN E. McGORY, age 90, formerly of North Road, Freeville, NY passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Cortland Park Center after a period of declining health. Mrs. McGory was born November 10, 1924 in Cortland, NY, the only child of Myron and Maude Ryan Kelley. Marian was employed at Cortland Auto Supply as a bookkeeper and was the widow of John F. McGory who passed away November 15, 2002. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews including Thomas (Wendy) Beames of Cortland; a brother-in-law, Donald (Margaret) McGory; sisters-in-law, Nellie Beames of Cortland, Betty McGory and Bert McGory both of Freeville and Carolyn McGory of Ithaca.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter, NY. Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Memorials are directed to Holy Cross Church, 375 George Road, Freeville, NY 13068.
