Marleha Conover Shappee

Marleha Conover Shappee, age 91 of Pine City, NY passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Northwoods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Moravia, NY.

Born August 4, 1930 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Marguerite Powers VanOstrand and wife of the late Roland C. Conover who passed in 1981 and the late Jack Shappee who passed in 2013. Marleha was a bookkeeper and secretary for W.T. Pritchard Automotive in Ithaca for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.

Marleha is survived by her children, Laura (Rob) Morgan of Locke, NY, Rhonda (Brad) Hull of Ithaca, NY and Roland (Karen) Conover of Nebraska; grandchildren, Kimberly Myer, Nicole Shipman, Wayne Shipman II, Matthew Hull, Melissa Hull, Mackenzie Conover, Rian Conover, Aiden Conover, Holly McPhee and Stephanie Wiater; 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, Luka. In addition, she was predeceased by her daughter, Melody Ferner and her four siblings.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. There are no formal services planned. Private interment will be in Enfield Christian Cemetery, Enfield, NY later this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Golden Glow Vol. Fire Co., 214 Hendy Creek Rd., Pine City, NY 14871 or to The Wounded Warrior Project.
