Mary E. Woodin

Estelle Woodin, age 90, of Willseyville, NY died Wednesday, June 20, with her family by her side. Mary was born Aug. 1, 1921 in Danby, a daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Palmer McFall. She lived at the home of her daughter for seventeen years.

The family is extremely thankful to Kelly Willms, Mary’s caregiver, for her tireless vigil over Mary during her last few weeks and for her kindness and gentle care of Mary for seven years.

She is survived by a son, Donald L. Woodin (Mary Lou) of Brooktondale, and two daughters, Sharon E. Sandlan (Ken) of Willseyville and Karen M. Dufresne of Ithaca; brothers, Walter (Anita) McFall, Jr. of Interlaken and Robert (Olympia) McFall of Spencer as well as nine grandchildren and several great and great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence W. Woodin, a daughter, Mina P. Burke; a son, Philip W. Woodin and her siblings, Marian, Joseph, Roger, Esther, Jean.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale, NY. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM, Friday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden. Mary worked at Cornell University as a Stores Clerk in the Department of Plant Pathology for more than twenty years. She was an avid gardener and she loved

to read, watching birds and doing jigsaw and word-search puzzles. Among her favorite things were butterflies, angels and lambs.
