Michael Tiddick, age 82, of Ithaca and formerly of Dryden, NY passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 after an extended illness. Mike was born July 5, 1932 in Wayne Township, PA, a son of the late Michael Tiddick, Sr. and Mary Yeck Tiddick. On Oct. 15, 1955 he was married to the former Barbara Walsh in Carbondale, PA. Mike served in the US Army during the Korean War and relocated his family to Dryden in 1966.
He was employed By Singer Sewing Machine Company, at Monarch Machine Tool as a machinist and retired from TC3 where he was an Audio-Visual Technician. He was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Leonard T. Spaulding Post 1134, American Legion.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara of Ithaca; his sons, Kenneth M. Tiddick, Ronald J. Tiddick and Robert J. (Kelly) Tiddick; his daughters, Michele A. (James) Payne and Missy Tiddick-Park, grandchildren, Anthony, Nichole, Dillon, Dustin and Maddison Tiddick, Jacob, Matthew, Joshua, Marcus and Jesse Payne, Nicholas and Dorian Park; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jake Tiddick, Rhyley and Kendal Payne; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by a brother and three sisters.
Friends are invited to call at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden on Sunday from 11 to 1 PM followed by a celebration of Mike’s life. A reception also on Sunday, will be held at the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home, 2272 Dryden Road, from 1:30 to 4 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden.
