Mildred Cochran

MILDRED COCHRAN, age 76, of Holiday Drive, Cortland, NY died Monday, May 1, 2006 at her residence. Mildred was born Feb 1, 1930 at Dryden, NY a daughter of the late James and Catherine Metzgar Cornelius. On Nov 26, 1960 she was married to Floyd R. Cochran, Sr. and has been a life area resident. Mildred was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and was recognized by the City of Cortland for the many years that she and Floyd were Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause at the Cortland Water Works. Mildred was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her loving family and many, many friends.

Floyd at home; her children, Floyd R. Cochran, Jr., of Renova, PA, James L. (Paula) Cochran of Homer, Joyce L. (Robert) Stout of Slaterville, Janet L. (Bryan) George of Virgil and Jane L. Lockwood of Cincinnatus; her sister, Mary Davis of North Lansing; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her brothers, Leslie, Glenn, and James Cornelius; her sister, Mabel Sutfin and a son-in-law, John Lockwood.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 4th at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
