Nancy Carolyn (Hatch) Bell

Nancy Carolyn (Hatch) Bell, 52, of McLean, New York passed away at home on November 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Nancy was born to Elnora and Raymond Hatch on January 23, 1970 in Cortland, NY.  Nancy graduated from Dryden Central School in 1988 and graduated from Tompkins Cortland Community College in 1997. Nancy worked in various Administrative Assistant positions at Cornell University for over thirty years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, camping, sewing and cooking.  She loved animals and enjoyed working outside on their small farm.

Nancy is survived by her husband Roy Bell, daughter Hannah Bell, step-son Jason (wife Nichole, grandchildren Tyler, Collin and Kole), parents Elnora and Raymond Hatch, brothers Donald, John (daughter Nichole), Roger (wife Cindy; daughter Breanna and son Andrew), Daniel, Richard (wife Phylicia; daughter Elnora-Mae), sister Susan Drew (daughter Emily and son Benjamin), and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.

Perkins Funeral Home in Dryden, NY will be assisting the family during this time. There will be no calling hours. Nancy will be buried in the Willow Glen Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to McLean Volunteer Fire Department (PO Box 121, McLean, NY 13102) or Hospicare and Palliatative Services of Tompkins County (172 E King Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850).

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on December 3, 2022, from 1:00-5:00 PM at McLean Fire Station in McLean. Please bring your favorite dish to pass, and your favorite memories to share with friends and family.
