Nancy W. Tillapaugh

Nancy White Tillapaugh, age 88, of Marietta, GA and formerly of Dryden Road, Varna, NY passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Marietta, GA after a lengthy illness.
Born August 14, 1929 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Grover and Evelyn Arndt White and wife of the late Kenneth Tillapaugh who died in 1998. She had been employed with Chas E. Shew Furniture for over 20 years and was a member of Varna Senior Citizens. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished caring for her family. She loved spending time at her children’s youth and Ithaca High school athlete events, camping trips, holiday celebrations and family reunions. She was a splendid cook, pie maker, baker, seamstress and gardener who enjoyed puzzles, music and tending to her flower garden. As a giver to the community, it pleased her to help at community BBQ’s, Lion’s Club events, The Service League clothing store and school programs.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Tillapaugh of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Bruce (Angie) Tillapaugh of Mexico, NY and John (Sally) Tillapaugh of Marietta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Charlie) Carter, Christina (Jacob) Kuehn and Kenneth (Selina) Tillapaugh; sister Sally Reed of Shirley Center, MA; brother, Malcolm White of Ashford, CT and several nieces and nephews. In addition she was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanne Kitson of E. Aurora, NY. And Winifred Morrissey of Hanover, NY.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Cynthia Weaver officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, NY. Friends may call from 4-6 pm Monday at the funeral home.
