Ned F. Sturdevant 84, of Whitney Point, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Lords Hospital. Born in Triangle, NY to Vern and Naomi Sturdevant he lived most of his life in Upper Lisle, NY.
Ned was a veteran from the Marine Corps. He had various occupations such as: farmer, carpenter, mechanic, and heavy equipment operator. He participated in major projects that included: Kennedy Space Center, Eisenhower Locks and Interstate highways 81 & 88. He was an active member of the Ridge Runners Snowmobiles Club helping to develop and maintain numerous trails. After retirement he enjoyed making maple syrup, bee keeping, sawing lumber and being a good steward of his land.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Dawn M. Miller. Ned leaves behind his three children Michael (wife Beth), Steven and his daughter Debra Sturdevant, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He had a special loving relationship for the past 15 years with Corine Green.
Graveside services in the Upper Lisle Cemetery are scheduled for Saturday, May 6 at 1:00 pm. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
