NELLIE BUTTS,
age 83, of 120 Sykes Street, Groton, NY and formerly of Dryden, Ithaca and Groton, NY passed away, Monday, January 9th, 2006 at the Cayuga Medical Center. Miss Butts was born at Dryden, a daughter of Charles and Maude Knapp Butts.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Jean Butts of Dryden and Joyce Butts of Killawog; many nieces; nephews and great nieces and nephews. Nellie was predeceased by her brothers, Harold Knapp, Elmer, Earl, Clifford, Arthur, Donald, Lawrence and Stanley Butts. Her half-brothers, Irving and Leland Butts and her half-sisters Stella Butts and Alice VanOstrand.
Funeral services will be at 8 PM Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Rev. Alan Kinney will officiate. Friends may call from 7 to 8 pm Thursday. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Willow Glen Cemetery.
