NORMAN GLEN LACEY, age 89, of 198 Freeville Road, Dryden, NY passed away on Sunday May 4, 2008 at the Northwoods Rehabilitation and Care Center in Cortland after a long illness. "Norm" was born April 18, 1919 at Richford, NY a son of the late Phineas and Beulah Matson Lacey. A long time Dryden resident, Norm was married to the former Shirley Jacoby on Feb. 1, 1963 at Dryden. Norm was employed at Dryden Central School first as a School Bus Driver and later retired as the Transportation Superintendent after 28 years service. He was a former member of the Dryden Odd Fellows, the Grange and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working at his farm.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Lacey of Dryden, his brother, Robert (Lulabelle) Lacey of New Port Richey, FL; his stepson, Herbert (Chrystle) Terwilliger of Freeville; grandchildren, Kelli Anne (Robert) Weeks of Groton, Amy Terwilliger of Freeville; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Oliver Lacey; his siblings, Blanche Thornton, Lavern Lacey, Rosetta Golden, Louise Armitage and Eugene Lacey.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours. Friends wishing to remember Norm are asked to consider a memorial gift to Caring Community Hospice of Cortland, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045.
