PATRICIA PETER “PATTY” NEFERIS
DRYDEN – Patricia Peter “Patty” Neferis, age 80 of Dryden, NY passed away November 3, 2018 at Cayuga Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Patty was born March 17, 1938 in Ithaca, NY, one of ten children of the late Peter J. and Helen Psohonis Neferis, proprietors of Neferis’ Red & White Grocery, the family owned business on Dryden Road in Collegetown. Patty was graduated from Ithaca High School and had been employed for many years, in the fabric department, at Woolworth’s Department Store until they closed. She later worked at Kendal of Ithaca.
Patty will be greatly missed and remembered by many loving friends and family members including her beloved nieces, nephews and best friend and neighbor, Jen Pittman Leubner. Patty was predeceased by her parents and nine siblings, James Neferis, Athanasis “Charlie” Neferis, Mary Koutros, Sophia Neferis, George Neferis, Katherine Preston, Bessie Drake, Constantine “Dino” Neferis and Angie Brashear.
At Patty’s request there will be no formal services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
