Paul M. Blake

Paul M. Blake, age 62, of Cortland, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Born December 6, 1954 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Alyce J. Poole Blake, Sr. Paul was employed by SUNY Cortland for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Paul will be remembered as a friend to all, a father figure to many and always the life of the party.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Erica Blake (Mark McConnell); and son, Benjamin Blake both of Cortland, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer, Zachary and Sawyer; siblings, Terry (Dick) Haines, Jack (Carole) Blake and Dennis Blake; sisters in law, Robin Nash, Karen Blake and Lynnette Jacobs; brother in law, Gregory Jacobs; the mother of his children, Nancy J. Blake (Jerry Kinsman); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition, he was predeceased by siblings, Charlie, Bob and Steven Blake and nephew, Travis Blake.
Friends are invited to call at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 4-6 pm followed by a service at 6 pm with Pastor John Iler officiating.
