PAUL L. HALLOCK, age 78, of 3690 Pine Hill Road, Marathon, NY passed away, Monday, March 30, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Paul was born Nov. 15, 1930 at Cortland a son of the late Ward and Elizabeth Spencer Hallock. He was a long time Marathon resident and served in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1952. Years ago he was employed at Smith Corona and for 50 years was the owner and operator of Galatia Farms in Marathon, NY. On October 17, 1969 he was married to the former Grace Shevalier who survives. He was a member of the Marathon Memorial VFW Post #932 and the Holstein Friesian Association as well of the United Methodist Church of Marathon.

Survivors include his loving wife, Grace A. Hallock at home, his daughters, Deborah (Keith) Smith of Mooresville, NC, Christina (Aaron) Kimmich of Moravia, Arlene (Jon) Roberts of Andover, MA, Lorene Crossett of Auburn, NY and Pamela Bourber of Orlando, FL; his son, Stephen Hallock of Pocatello, ID; a sister, Phyllis (Richard) Fye of Fayetteville, NY; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Jensen of the United Methodist Church of Marathon officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 9:30 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Marathon Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Those wishing to remember Paul are asked to consider a memorial to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049 or the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
