Peter Andrew Westerling

Peter Andrew Westerling was born August 19, 1986 and died of complications from pneumonia January 21, 2016. Pete was a force of nature. He felt everything very deeply so there was no chance of him hiding his moods. As a result, they were often infectious: his anger left you outraged; his sadness easily moved you to tears. But it was all worthwhile when he was happy. He had a winning smile, lightning quick wit, and unending energy for the task at hand. He came out of the chute running, so it was no surprise that soccer was one of his great loves. At 29, Pete had endured enough suffering for multiple lifetimes. Through it all he remained fiercely loyal to friends and family, and always delighted in the simplest of pleasures. He is survived by his parents, Karel & Peggy, siblings Ricky, Nina, & Jonathan, and his beloved dogs, Brit, Sam, Bear, & Brinkley, as well as many other relatives and close friends he considered family.

There will be no funeral or calling hours. Pete will be buried next to Buck in a private ceremony in the spring. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
