PHILIP E. VANSANT, age 61, of Ithaca, NY passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Cayuga Medical Center. Born February 6, 1960 in Gouverneur, NY, he was a son of the late Earl and Edith Paro VanSant.
Phil was a drywall installer with R&C Drywall and later on his own with his brother. He loved horseshoes, gardening, hunting, fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.
He is survived by his twin brothers, Dwight VanSant of Freeville, NY, Douglas VanSant of Florida, brother, Robin VanSant of Florida, Paul VanSant of Kirkville, NY; sister, Rose Carr of Parish, NY; friend, Clinton “Scotty” Dafoe; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
No public services are scheduled. A celebration of his life will be held at his home at the convenience of the family, for more information you are encouraged to contact the family.
