QUINTON “Herbie” Pulling, age 93, formerly of Harford, Ithaca and Sidney, NY passed away Sat., Feb. 4, 2012, at the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford, NY. Born in Harford, NY on Sept. 10, 1918, he was a son of the late Frink and Anne Boice Pulling. He was graduated from Marathon High School and studied at Cornell University. Herb served in the US Army Air Force during WWII as an Aircraft Mechanic and Flight Engineer. He had been employed by Ithaca Gun, National Cash Register and Therm, Inc. Later he was employed at the Sidney School District. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Jeanne Gleason Buhl of Cortland, Jean McBride of California, Virginia Pulling of Maine, Pam Himmel of Balston Spa and Charles Pulling of Syracuse, NY.Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David H. Nicholls officiating. Burial will follow in Harford Mills Cemetery.
