RAEANN GAIL CROSBY, age 34, of Bartlett Ave., Cortland, NY passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2015. "Rae" was born Sept. 13, 1980 in Ithaca a daughter of Thomas and Eileen Lynch Hammond of McLean, NY. She was raised in Virgil, NY and on Sep. 14, 1996 was married to Zebedee S. Crosby.
Rae was employed at Franziska Racker Center at the ICF on Warren Road near Ithaca.
She was also employed at TST BOCES. Rae enjoyed family gatherings, spending times with friends, Giants Football and NASCAR. A very loving and caring person, she was first to offer help to other people.
Survivors include her husband, Zeb at home in Cortland; her parents, Thomas and Eileen Hammond; her children, Laura, Austin and Zebedee Crosby II all at home; her siblings, Thomas “T.J.” Hammond, and Desiree Shutts; her mother-in-law, Anna Wilcox; her grandmother, Ruth Lynch; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Archie Smith officiating. Burial will be delayed. Friends are invited to call from 3 to 6 PM, Friday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the Franziska Racker Center, 62 Wilkins Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
